Froggy
A Food-Chain Game - Who's for Dinner?
Froggy is played with 12 gnats, 5 frogs and 2 snakes on
each side. Gnats can capture other gnats by jumping
over them as in checkers. A frog can jump over any
other frogs to capture gnats and/or opponent's frogs
ending the jump on a blank space.
Meanwhile, the snakes are stalking the frogs! Snakes
can move in a straight line any number of spaces and
jump over frog(s) to capture them. The gnats work
their strategy with their ability to block the snakes'
movement. The game ends when one player has
captured all of his opponent's gnats or frogs.
This is the most complex of our strategy games, so
would be more appropriate for ages 9 to adult.
